Professor Tamsin Ford elected to the prestigious Academy of Medical Sciences Fellowship

ACAMH Board Member Professor Tamsin Ford CBE is one of just 50 biomedical and health scientists elected to the prestigious Academy Fellowship.

Tamsin is Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Cambridge. She is an internationally renowned Child Psychiatric Epidemiologist who researches the organisation, delivery, and effectiveness of services and interventions for children and young people’s mental health. She said; “This is a great honour – I am startled but delighted.”

Martin Pratt, Chief Executive of ACAMH, said, “Hearty congratulations to Professor Tamsin Ford CBE, on behalf of all at ACAMH. This is an honour that is throughly deserved, and it a huge privilege to have you as a member of our Board.”

The new Fellows have been chosen for their exceptional contributions to advancing biomedical science via world-leading research discoveries, running national science communication and engagement programmes and translating scientific advances into benefits for patients and the public.

Each one has made their own outstanding contribution to biomedical science, and together they are advancing the health of our society in the UK and internationally.
