Dr. Marinos Kyriakopoulos

Dr. Marinos Kyriakopoulos is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust, Visiting Senior Lecturer in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience, KCL, and Honorary Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He is Joint Training Programme Director for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Maudsley Scheme. Dr. Kyriakopoulos is an Associate Editor of CAMH, responsible for Clinical Research Updates.

He has clinical and research interest in early-onset psychotic disorders, the interface between autism spectrum disorders and psychosis, developmental neuropsychiatry and psychopharmacology, and the stigma of mental health treatment in childhood. He is Deputy Editor of the journal BJPsych International, and Associate Editor of Frontiers Public Health Section. He has published over 60 papers and book chapters, and has presented in numerous national and international conferences.

Autism Symposium

Dr. Marinos Kyriakopoulos discusses his paper: Autism Spectrum Disorders – what do we treat, and how? This symposium features a series of 20-minute lectures that then lead into a panel discussion. Lectures and discussions included the role of research in autism, including pathways to mental health problems in ASD, and the wider landscape.
