The ACAMH Malta 10th Anniversary Conference, themed “Stronger Together: The Role of Families and Systemic Connection in Mental Health Recovery,” was held on May 5–6, 2025, at Villa Arrigo Hall in Naxxar. This landmark event celebrated a decade of the Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (ACAMH) Malta branch’s commitment to advancing mental health care for young people and their families.
Founded in 2015 as the first international branch of ACAMH, ACAMH Malta has been instrumental in providing high-quality education, fostering collaboration, and driving change in child and adolescent mental health services. Over the years, the organization has hosted numerous conferences and training sessions, covering topics such as autism, ADHD, eating disorders, and behavioral challenges.
The 10th Anniversary Conference brought together professionals, researchers, and practitioners to discuss the pivotal role of families and systemic connections in mental health recovery. Under the leadership of its former president, Andrea Saliba, ACAMH Malta has also played a key role in supporting the creation of other international branches in countries such as India and Egypt.
