Session 1
Session 2
Emotional disorders are increasingly common in youth, creating a need for flexible, evidence-based approaches that address complex, comorbid presentations in real-world settings. This short course introduces participants to the Unified Protocols for Transdiagnostic Treatment of Emotional Disorders in Children and Adolescents (UP-C and UP-A), a cognitive-behavioral treatment framework designed to address a wide range of emotional difficulties, including anxiety, depression, irritability, and obsessive-compulsive symptoms.

Led by Dr. Jill Ehrenreich-May, the developer of the UP-C/UP-A, this course will equip mental health professionals with foundational knowledge and key strategies to begin using the Unified Protocol with young people. Emphasizing flexibility and real-world application, the course will cover core components such as emotion education, cognitive reappraisal, and exposure-based techniques, alongside caregiver strategies and guidance on adapting materials for varied clinical settings. The course will also emphasize practical implementation and clinical flexibility to support emotion regulation and resilience in youth facing complex challenges.
