Event type Conference

Highpoint, Bursledon Rd, Thornhill, Southampton SO19 8BR

Risk of serious harm, to self and others, is an important topic to discuss.

When should we be concerned, and what can we do?

With the rise in the prevalence of mental health difficulties in children and young people, there is an increasing need to recognise the range and degree of risks presented by young people. This workshop will provide an excellent opportunity for the delegates to update their understanding and skills in assessment and management of risks in children and young people.

Amongst the discussions will be; Mood Disorders, the impact of media on the mental health of young people, and eating disorders.

The day will provide a balanced mixture of presentations by speakers and skills-based learning opportunities through workshops. It also provides an excellent opportunity for the delegates to network and share their experience and expertise with peers.
