TERMS & CONDITIONS FOR 3rd National CONFERENCE Naming Nomination

  1. How to Enter
    1. The competition will run from 00:01 on 28th February 2018 (the “Opening Date”) to 23:59 on 23 March 2018 (the “Closing Date”).
    2. All competition entries must be received by ACAMH by no later than 23:59 on the Closing Date. All nominations received after the Closing Date will not be considered.
    3. To enter the you must: (a) be an ACAMH member; (b) provide a brief description of up to 200 words as to why you are nominating a particular individual (c) send to the email address info@acamh.org (d) ensure you include; Name, job title, place of work, email address, and daytime contact number.
    4. ACAMH will not accept: (a) responsibility for nomination entries that are sent but are not received, for any reason, into the email box info@acamh.org due to equipment failure, technical malfunction, systems, satellite, network, server, computer hardware or software failure of any kind; or (b) proof of email as evidence that an email was sent.
    5. By submitting a nomination, you are agreeing to be bound by these terms and conditions.
    6. The nomination entries will be shortlisted by the ACAMH Events Committee and final selection will be made by the ACAMH Board based on their understanding of the nomination supporting evidence and research or suitability by the ACAMH Events Committee. ACAMH reserves the right to amend the criteria used to judge nominations.
    7. By entering a nomination, you hereby warrant that all information submitted by you in your entry is true, accurate and complete in every respect. ACAMH reserves the right to verify any information contained in your nomination and/or your eligibility to enter the competition.
    8. ACAMH reserve the right in its absolute discretion to disqualify any nomination if it has reasonable grounds to believe that a nominee has breached any of these terms and conditions. Each nominee acknowledges and agrees that any failure to comply with these terms and conditions could lead to ACAMH disqualifying that nomination, without ACAMH giving any reason for such disqualification or granting any opportunity for challenge.
    9. In the event that more the same nomination is received by multiple nominees the ACAMH Events Committee will decide which nomination is put forward to the ACAMH Board for consideration. This will be based on the supporting wording and ACAMH shall not have to explain why one nomination was selected over others. There will only be one prize-winner and this will be the nominee that is selected to be presented to the ACAMH Board, and then is selected by the ACAMH Board as the winner
    10. ACAMH reserves all rights to disqualify nominations if your conduct is contrary to the spirit or intention of the competition.
    11. The prize is subject to availability. There is no cash alternative for the prize. The prize is not negotiable or transferable.
    12. In order to claim the prize you must comply with condition 7.
    13. The prize may not be claimed by a third party on your behalf.
    14. ACAMH will make all reasonable efforts to contact the winner. If the winner cannot be contacted or is not available, or has not claimed their prize within 14 days of the Announcement Date, your claim will become invalid and ACAMH will be entitled to withdraw the prize.
    15. ACAMH does not accept any responsibility if you are not able to take up the prize.
    16. No prize will be awarded where any entrant has committed any form of misconduct (as determined by ACAMH in its sole discretion).
    17. Insofar as is permitted by law, ACAMH, will not in any circumstances be responsible or liable to compensate the winner or accept any liability for any loss, damage, disappointment, personal injury or death occurring as a result of any entrant entering this competition, taking up the prize, or as a result of any entrant winning or not winning any prize, except where it is caused by the negligence of ACAMH, or that of their employees. Your statutory rights are not affected.
    18. You agree that ACAMH may use your nomination (whether or not it is selected) for any promotional purpose (for example, placing it on the Website or on any social media platform, poster, leaflet or other advertising media).
    19. By submitting your nomination entry and any accompanying material, you agree to: (a) assign to ACAMH all your intellectual property rights with full title guarantee; and (b) waive all moral rights, in and to your competition entry and otherwise arising in connection with your entry to which you may now or at any time in the future be entitled under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988 as amended from time to time and under all similar legislation from time to time in force anywhere in the world.
    20. You agree that ACAMH may, but is not required to, make your entry available on its our social media channels and websites and any other media, whether now known or invented in the future, and in connection with any publicity of the competition. You agree to grant ACAMH a non-exclusive, worldwide, irrevocable licence, for the full period of any intellectual property rights in the nomination entry, to use, display, publish, transmit, copy, edit, alter, store, re-format and sub-licence the competition entry for such purposes.
    21. If you are the winner of the competition, you agree that ACAMH may use your name, and your image for any reasonable and related promotional purposes.
    22. You further agree to participate in any reasonable publicity required by ACAMH.
    23. If there is any reason to believe that there has been a breach of these terms and conditions, ACAMH may, at its sole discretion, reserve the right to exclude you from participating in the competition.
    24. In the event of any dispute regarding these terms and conditions, the conduct or results of the competition, or any other matter relating to a competition, the decision of ACAMH shall be final and unchallengeable and no correspondence or discussion shall be entered into, comment issued, or reason given in respect of any decision made by ACAMH.
    25. These terms and conditions and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter (including any non-contractual disputes or claims) shall be governed by English law, and the parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
